“Run away with me.”
When
spoken by a much younger woman, few men will resist those
words.
But at what cost?
When
Bob Lutz quits his executive post to head an Internet start-up,
he begins a harrowing spin into neurosis: he becomes obsessed
with Valerie Quinn, his young employee, jeopardizing a successful
career. His marriage crumbles. Why would a fifty-year old
married man become involved with a twenty-three year-old?
Why not?
But
what does Valerie want?
Lutz
watches his life and career spiral out of control, powerless
to do anything but succumb to Valerie’s advances.
His psychiatrist battles his own addictions, his wife finds
solace in old vices, and all the while others plot to take
over Lutz’ new company.
“Run
away with me,” she said. Once was all it took.
